FITTING SERVICES
We have a team of fitters with over 10 years experience in fitting solid flooring, providing
you with the top quality fitting service at a
very competitive rate.
All boards should be checked fully before fitting and any with defects should be laid aside and NOT fitted. We will not accept any responsibility for any boards, obviously defective, being laid, or claims made AFTER FITTING on boards with faults which could have been picked out before installation.
Before fitting
It is important to ensure the following:
- Moisture: relative humidity of a room should be between 40%-60%
- Moisture: Content of the sub-floor should be less than 5% or 75% RH in concrete
(Please note that a new concrete screed will dry out at a rate of approx. 1 inch per month – this means a new screed 6 inches deep, will take 6 months before being dry enough to fit a solid wood floor.)
Solid wood flooring should be left on site to acclimatise in the room it is to be fitted in for 7-10 days before installation.
