Wood grading refers to the natural appearance and character of the floor, including the amount of knots, grain variation and colour differences between boards.
Prime (AB): The most uniform and expensive cut with almost no knots or color variation, ideal for minimalist, modern spaces.
Select (ABC): A refined middle ground featuring small, rare knots and slight natural grain variations for a clean but authentic residential look.
Natural/Classic (ABCD): The most popular choice, displaying a balanced "real wood" character with medium knots, visible sapwood, and distinct color shifts.
Rustic (CD): A rugged, high-contrast grade with large knots and cracks that easily hides wear and tear, perfect for traditional or high-traffic settings.
Antique: grade flooring has a deliberately aged, rustic look with visible cracks, textured surfaces, and strong colour variation ideal for a heritage or characterful style.
This 18mm engineered Golden Handscraped oak floor offers excellent value for anyone looking for the beauty of real wood combined with the stability of engineered construction. The handscraped surface adds character and texture, giving the floor a warm, traditional look. With a strong 13mm multi-ply core and a generous 5mm sandable oak veneer, this floor is built for long-term durability and can be refinished multiple times.
The planks come in a 125mm width and random lengths ranging from 300mm to 1500mm, closely replicating the appearance of traditional solid wood flooring. Finished with multiple coats of hard-wearing lacquer, this floor provides a durable, scratch-resistant, and easy-to-maintain surface.

Installation:
- Please ensure this flooring is installed by an experienced floor fitter or competent professional.
- Suitable for floating installation over an underlay using PVA glue in the tongue-and-groove.
- It can also be fully stuck down, secret-nailed or fixed with T&G screws for a solid, secure feel.
- Suitable for underfloor heating (low-temperature systems)
- Suitable for all areas except bathrooms and wet rooms.
- Short acclimatisation time compared to solid wood - generally ready to install within a couple of days.
