Wood grading refers to the natural appearance and character of the floor, including the amount of knots, grain variation and colour differences between boards.
Prime (AB): The most uniform and expensive cut with almost no knots or color variation, ideal for minimalist, modern spaces.
Select (ABC): A refined middle ground featuring small, rare knots and slight natural grain variations for a clean but authentic residential look.
Natural/Classic (ABCD): The most popular choice, displaying a balanced "real wood" character with medium knots, visible sapwood, and distinct color shifts.
Rustic (CD): A rugged, high-contrast grade with large knots and cracks that easily hides wear and tear, perfect for traditional or high-traffic settings.
Antique: grade flooring has a deliberately aged, rustic look with visible cracks, textured surfaces, and strong colour variation ideal for a heritage or characterful style.
Unfinished flooring arrives in its raw state and must be sealed with lacquer, oil, or polyurethane immediately after installation to prevent damage. To maintain the finish, use only wood-specific cleaners and avoid wet mopping.
Shorter boards included in fixed-length engineered flooring to help start or finish rows these are standard, don’t affect quality or coverage, and help reduce waste for a more efficient installation.
This 15mm engineered oak floor offers excellent value and timeless appeal, combining the natural beauty of real wood with the stability of engineered construction. It features a generous 4mm sandable oak veneer, allowing for several refinishes over time, while the multi-layer plywood core ensures exceptional dimensional stability.
Suitable for underfloor heating and ideal for floating installations in apartments or flats where sound reduction is beneficial. Supplied in fixed-length 1900mm planks for a clean, elegant look.
